    FLASH MD! BE The FIRST

    At SIT - Sordina IORT Technologies S.p.a. – we have been committed for years in the development and commercialization of linear electron accelerators for application in surgical oncology. After having developed and launched the ElectronFlash technology, which supports basic Flash research with performance typical of a highly reliable and measurable medical device, we are now ready to kick-off the first phase of the Flash Medical Device IOeRT and VHEE Project .

    Today we are launching the First Flash IOeRT Medical Device.

    Because of our success and our desire to contribute further to developing know-how and expertise in the clinical setting, SIT is proud to announce a scientific contest - FLASH MD! BE the FIRST – which will give a qualified EU hospital the opportunity to utilize the world’s rst Flash IORT Medical Device on loan for 6 years.

    The 6-year loan is set up to establish the first EU clinical center to use Flash IORT radiotherapy according to the ESTRO indications. The objectives are to produce innovative scientic evidence so Flash IOeRT can contribute as an addition to usual care and to improve the treatment pathway and outcomes in oncology.

    Contest Timing
    The FLASH MD! BE the FIRST Contest is divided in 3 phases:
    1) The contest will run from 2 May 2025 to 30 June 2025. Participation is possible both on-site at our Estro
    Congress booth and online through the ocial SIT website.
    2) The selection of the top 15 nalists will be communicated on September 30, 2025 on the SIT website.
    3) At FRPT Prague Congress – December, 2025 the extraction of the winner will take place.
    4) The device will be delivered at the FRPT Prague Congress.

    Eligibility
    Minimal requirements:
    1) EU Clinical/research facility with a radiotherapy department
    2) Surgical Oncology multidisciplinary team in place

    Participation
    Applicants must:
    1) Complete the paper form at the SIT booth – Estro Congress – May 2 to May 6, 2025
    2) Submit the application via the online form www.soiort.com by June 30, 2025

    Winner selection
    An internal scientic committee at SIT will select the winner based on the following criteria:
    1) Relevance and innovation
    2) Clinical impact on the patient care pathway

    Prize
    The winning center will receive:
    1) The world’s rst FLASH Radiotherapy device under loan-for-use for 6 years
    2) Complete installation, technical and scientic training and operational support provided by SIT

    Announcement of the winner
    The official announcement of the winner will take place at FRPT Prague Congress – December, 2025

    SIT reserves the right to cancel or amend this contest at any time for just cause. Participants authorize SIT to use the information they voluntarily provide exclusively for the purposes of evaluation, award assignment, and official communication related to this contest.
