ESTRO 2026 has drawn to a close — and for S.I.T., this year’s edition reinforced a clear vision: FLASH Radiotherapy is no longer a horizon, but a direction. Once again, ESTRO – European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology, the leading European congress dedicated to radiotherapy and oncology, brought together professionals, researchers, companies and clinical centres from all over the world.
In this international setting, S.I.T. shared its technological approach towards FLASH: not as uncharted territory, but as the natural evolution of a well-established path built through years of experience in IOeRT.
A journey that starts from the clinical experience gained with LIAC HWL (linear accelerator for intraoperative radiotherapy – IORT), continues through the development of Treatment Planning Systems (TPS), and extends to ElectronFlash, S.I.T. dedicated platform designed for ultra-high dose rate research.
